Media Coverage is Killing Us

We are not only members of the information age, we are information junkies. Every time we turn on the TV –which is usually as soon as we wake up or get home from work, we are surrounded by images of vacuous divas and war. It’s no wonder we are losing touch with both our natural empathy and our ability to understand the difference between celebrity and talent. If I see one more shot of Paris Hilton hanging out a hot spot talking about her ordeal I am going to spew tea all over my Mohawk laminate flooring. It’s ridiculous this girl gets so much press while real world issues continue. Do yourself and the nation a favor and turn off the TV. Time spent with your family is much more important. Find the center of your heart with people of substance who have real life issues and real life stories. Go visit your neighbor and leave the junk for the junkies.
